Job summary

Concord Hospital seeks a Perioperative Services Assistant to support the operating room team under RN and anesthesia guidance. You will help with cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, and preparing equipment for cases, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.

This role requires basic education and a current BLS certification, with on-site shifts from 11 pm to 7 am and 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certificate within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Cleans the surgical suite and equipment daily.
• Restocks OR and anesthesia supplies before, during and after procedures.
• Supports anesthesia providers with patient access lines and equipment.
• Assists with lifting and positioning of patients as directed by nurses.
• Assembles and troubleshoots OR equipment.
• Transports specimens and/or blood products to the lab as needed.
• Performs daily quality control testing on OR equipment.
• Follows Surgical Services Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies.
• Performs other duties and acts as a preceptor for new staff.
• Supports OR team in the care of cardiac patients.
