Position Details

This Per Diem position is located in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockville, MD. The schedule is: Rotating start times between 5:45 am - 7:00 am until cases are done. Pay Range: $38-46/hour

How You'll Contribute:

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RN is responsible for:

1. Utilizing advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans.
2. Performing initial preoperative assessments, developing a plan of care, and explaining the subsequent phases of surgery.
3. Providing comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members.
4. Demonstrating proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
5. Administering medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.

What You'll Bring:

The skills and education we need are:

1. Active RN license.
2. Current BLS and ACLS certification.
3. 2-3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred.
4. Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
5. Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
6. Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
7. Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
