Job summary

US Fertility, the nation’s leading partnership of physician-led fertility practices, is hiring an OR/PACU RN to join Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland. The schedule is every other Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with compensation from $38 to $46 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 2–3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU preferred.
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment.
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans.
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery.
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members.
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed.
