Job description

Position: OR/PACU RN

We are looking for an experienced OR/PACU RN to join our team at our Chesterbrook, PA ASC. The schedule involves working every other weekend from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility based on case volume, including holidays falling on weekends.

Responsibilities:

1. Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and develop care plans.
2. Perform initial preoperative assessments, develop care plans, and explain surgical procedures.
3. Provide comfort measures and psychological support to patients and families.
4. Care for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation.
5. Administer medications via intravenous and other routes as directed.
6. Provide patient education.

Qualifications:

1. Active RN license.
2. Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
3. 2-3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU preferred.
4. Strong technical and assessment skills.
5. Proficiency in computer use for accessing, inputting, and retrieving information.
6. Ability to work independently with good judgment.
7. Effective communication skills.
