Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Operating Room Manager to lead perioperative nursing practice, governance, and quality initiatives within a busy OR department.

You will plan, develop, and implement policies, manage budgets and resources, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-focused care. This role emphasizes professional nursing practice, teamwork, and leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3+ years as an RN Manager with Peri-op experience.
• Certified or willing to obtain OR certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Establish and share your vision for nursing practices within the unit.
• Work closely with supervisors and nursing staff to reach department goals.
• Prioritizing a positive work environment, establish effective processes and protocols, fostering best nursing practices and research.
• Encourage the growth of each team member and facilitate their professional development.
• Stay informed on new nursing research, best practices, and patient care models.
• Proactively identify and address ethical or clinical issues.
