Job summary

BMC Berkeley Medical Center is seeking an RN to provide inpatient nursing care using the nursing process. The role requires Virginia? (see below) or state licensure and BLS.

The incumbent will lead and mentor staff, coordinate care with the interprofessional team, and uphold high standards of patient safety and quality outcomes. Responsibilities include prioritizing patient needs, advocating for patient rights, and participating in policy development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice or multi-state license via eNLC.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum two years of registered nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient diagnoses, problems, and goals with the healthcare team.
• Serve as a resource for patient and family education.
• Coordinate with interprofessional team to manage changing priorities.
• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care as an independent team member.
• Mentor colleagues in clinical knowledge and judgment.
• Contribute to care planning system improvements.
• Lead interprofessional collaboration and consultations.
