A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time OR RNs. Candidates should be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold NC RN licensure, and have BLS; ACLS/PALS and CNOR are preferred and must

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current North Carolina RN license (or compact).
• BLS certification required at hire; ACLS & PALS preferred; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to surgical patients and coordinate safe care plans.
• Apply age-specific standards for meds and perioperative care.
• Incorporate cultural and developmental needs into care plans.
• Maintain excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure patient safety amid interruptions.
• Document patient care in records per standards.
• Participate in Universal Protocol and time-out procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, SPD, radiology and OR staff.
• Contribute to performance improvement with data collection and problem-solving.
