Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Instrument Tech to join our sterile processing team. The role supports the OR by handling instrumentation, sterilization processes, and equipment maintenance in a high-quality care environment.

Certification in CSPDT and a high school diploma are required or preferred, with 1–2 years of healthcare experience. Comprehensive benefits are provided to eligible staff, with a sign-on bonus of $8,000.

Qualifications

• Certification from an approved CSPDT Technical Institute.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, infection control, sterilization procedures and safety precautions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with departmental policies and OSHA standards.
• Performs quality assurance monitoring duties.
• Observes rationale for operating room sterilization processes.
• Maintains and cleans department equipment and supplies.
• Acts as liaison between OR/sterilization and other hospital departments.
• Packages instrumentation and supplies per department policies.
