Job summary

Health Wealth Safe, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse First Assist to provide circulating and scrub nurse services in the operating room. The role supports the surgical team through patient assessments, skin preparation, draping, blood loss control, suturing and anesthesia support.

Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential. Responsibilities include post-op transfer to recovery, communication with families, staff supervision, and participation in quality improvements to ensure optimal patient

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in nursing.
• California RN licensure and BLS with ACLS and PALS within 90 days.
• Previous First Assist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-operative patient assessments, educate patients, assist during surgery by preparing skin, draping, controlling blood loss, suturing, and supporting anesthesia.
• Post-operatively, ensure safe transfer to recovery, communicate with healthcare team and families, and maintain a safe environment.
• Supervise ancillary staff, manage supplies and OR cleanliness, and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Provide patient education, monitor comfort, and address age-specific needs for diverse patient populations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients, and perform other duties as assigned.
