Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Housekeeper to clean operating rooms, patient rooms, bathrooms and offices under the EVS Supervisor. You will ensure PAR levels, perform floor care, and maintain a safe, sanitary environment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent; 1 year of environmental services experience preferred, with OR cleaning experience highly preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of Environmental Services/housekeeping in ambulatory or surgical setting preferred.
• Operating Room cleaning experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including operating rooms, patient rooms, bathrooms, and offices.
• Stock supplies daily according to PAR levels.
• Perform floor cleaning, buffing, scrubbing and waxing as needed.
• Handle trash and maintain safe, clean work areas.
• Conduct terminal cleaning per hospital policy and procedure.
• Demonstrate proper decontamination of clinical areas and equipment.
• Follow safety, infection control guidelines and PPE usage.
• Identify risks and report safety issues promptly.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly environment and proper attire in restricted areas.
