Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an OR Equipment Technician to support the operating room team. Responsibilities include patient transport to the OR, assisting with specialized equipment, and maintaining sterilization standards to ensure a safe, clean surgical environment.

The role requires strong communication and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS/Basic Life Support certification within 60 days of starting.
• Experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and hospital supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to the OR and assist with handling equipment.
• Maintain sterile, clean and organized Sub Sterile areas as required.
• Assist OR staff with setup and turnover between cases.
• Communicate effectively with OR staff, surgeons, anesthesia and nursing units.
• Ensure patient privacy and HIPAA compliance at all times.
