Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient operations in the Burnet Campus. You’ll rotate through critical care and operating room areas, assist with unit dose preparation, dispensing, and ADC replenishment, while ensuring accuracy and teamwork.

Qualified candidates have at least 6 months of tech experience, OH Board registration (or within 18 months), a high school diploma, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active OH Board of Pharmacy registration or eligibility.
• PTCB and OH Board certification within 18 months of hire.
• ASHP-accredited program graduate or licensed as Pharmacy Intern or 6 months pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Medication orders: unit dose prep for cartfill and first doses.
• Prepare non-sterile, non-hazard dose forms for first fill or cartfill including oral syringes.
• Deliver patient-specific doses.
• ADC replenishment and inventory management.
• Compound non-sterile, non-hazardous meds.
• Phone triage for outpatient pharmacy.
• Insurance adjudication of medical claims.
• Medication storage inspections and general inventory control.
• Interact with pharmacy automation and hospital computer systems as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

OH Board of Pharmacy registration

PTCB certification within 18 months

ASHP accredited program graduate OR licensed as Pharmacy Intern OR 6 months of pharmacy experience
