Qualifications

• Minimum two years of housekeeping experience
• Successful completion of the Operating Room Training Program within nine months of hire

Responsibilities

• Maintains departmental policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
• Performs terminal cleaning procedures of OR rooms and prepares rooms for the next case
• Cleans and disinfects floors according to protocols
• Moves equipment and furniture in OR rooms following cleaning procedures
• Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials
• Gleans certifications related to OR cleaning and participates in educational programs
• Buffs, strips, waxes, and top scrubs floors
• Performs regular housekeeping duties in non-patient OR areas
