Job summary

The RN participates as a member of the health care team delivering quality care to Kaiser Permanente members and other patients in Oregon City. The role uses nursing process, clinical judgment, and leadership to address acute and chronic needs, working under the supervision of a designated supervisor to support KP's mission and values.

Demonstrates commitment to service, ethics, and HIPAA, collaborates with team leaders, mentors new staff, and participates in population-based care and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years RN experience in acute or ambulatory care.
• Minimum two (2) years circulating in OR in past 5 years.
• Active Oregon RN license and BLS.
• Willingness to learn computerized information systems.
• Demonstrates leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
• Patient-focused with strong ethics and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to health plan members and patients using nursing process.
• Lead and mentor staff; delegate and monitor care quality.
• Collaborate with Team Leader and Manager to set quality standards.
• Apply critical thinking to clinical problems and decisions.
• Coordinate care across care continuum and population-based activities.
