Job summary

HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Services Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, efficient care in a surgical environment and collaborate with a dedicated team.

You will assess and support intra-operative patients, assist surgeons, maintain records, and administer medications per physician orders. We value critical thinking and strong communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal skills; ability to read and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients.
• Assist surgeons in operative procedures.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
