Job summary

PREMIER SURGICAL CENTER AT SHAVANO is looking for a Registered Nurse - Circulator in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process in a perioperative setting. You will work directly with patients and medical teams, ensuring quality care and maintaining a sterile environment during surgeries.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in perioperative services, solid communication skills, and the ability to handle high-stress situations effectively. Qualifications include BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in state of employment.
• Two years of perioperative services experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient records.
• Ensures that the surgical room is sterile and safe for the patient.

Skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and act as a patient advocate

Basic computer skills (eg, Microsoft Word)

Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Listening and communication skills

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Current registered nurse licensure in state of employment

Two years perioperative services experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
