Job summary

Abilene Center for Orthopedic and Multispecialty Surgery in Abilene, TX is seeking a qualified OR Circulator RN for full-time hours. The role involves delivering safe patient-centered care in the operating room and collaborating with surgeons and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in state of employment.
• One year OR experience and/or training.
• BLS/ACLS; CNOR and PALS certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and Center related business.
• Obtains and documents nursing history from patients and/or significant others.
• Prepares the patient for the procedure and handles OR preparation.
• Records vital signs and provides technical assistance to surgeons.
• Ensures patient safety and infection control in the operating room.
• Documents patient care services by charting in records.
• Administers medications safely and documents appropriately.
• Provides pre- and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
