Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health in New London, NH seeks an experienced OR Circulating RN to support the surgical team and ensure patient safety. You will manage intra-operative documentation, case setup, and maintain sterile technique in a small hospital with two ORs and one endoscopy suite.

Responsibilities include anesthesia support, post-case documentation adherence to AORN standards, and participation in call schedules for emergent cases after training. RN with CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Accredited nursing program with Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year med/surg or critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Previous OR experience a plus; training per AORN Peri-Op 101 program.
• Certificate of completion from AORN.
• Peri-Op 101 program within one year of hire.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical documentation.
• Critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in caring for all patients and plans interventions.
• Documents care using hospital standards and assesses patient responses.
• Assists in minor procedures as requested.
• Demonstrates sterile technique and prepares the operative field per AORN.
• Advocates for patient safety and participates in interdisciplinary planning.
• Creates a safe patient environment and supports the surgical team.
