Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing the OR with the scrub tech, organizing supplies, counting instruments, and supporting anesthesia and patient positioning. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with Idaho RN license.
• Maintains ACLS and BLS per hospital protocol.
• Cares for sterile and nonsterile fields in the OR.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with the scrub tech and arrange all necessary supplies and equipment.
• Assist the surgeon and maintain the sterile field during procedures.
• Perform instrument and sponge counts with surgical staff.
• Greet, identify, and position patients; transport to and from the OR.
• Ensure confidentiality (HIPAA) and follow all privacy policies.
