OR Charge Registered NursePart TImePosition Summary:The ASC OR Charge RN is responsible for organizing and directing all activities of the facility according to its policies, procedures, and objectives. Ensures that the facility meets all related local, state, federal, and accrediting-body rules and regulations. Responsible for management of all aspects of the environment of care, personnel, materials/equipment, education of personnel, and administrative duties. May delegate duties as he or she deems necessary.Accountable To: Director of Nursing or MedBridge, Director of Clinical ServicesResponsibilities:OR Charge RN duties will consist of, but are not limited to:Supervision of all nursing personnel.Maintain surgery center daily staffing (nurses and surgical technicians) and act as a resource to all clinical staff.Assist with daily staffing as needed (front desk, sterile processing, MA/CNA/patient care coordinator, anesthesia).Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates all facility operations in accordance with the organization's objectivesMaintain and oversee daily flow of procedures.Assist Materials Manager with special equipment procurement.Able to serve RN functions in an Operating Room and Pre-Op or PACU as needed (see Pre-Op, PACU, and O.R. RN Job Descriptions).Promotes a positive work environment through effective communication, collaboration, accountability, and professional development.Manages and complies with Center confidentiality and PHI policies and practices in accordance with HIPAA regulations.Acts as liaison between staff, patients, and physicians.Ensures patient care is delivered according to accepted standards of practice and regulatory requirements.Evaluates the quality of patient care through audits, chart reviews, outcome monitoring, and staff feedback.Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, Medicare, OSHA, and accreditation standardsMaintains survey readiness and coordinates regulatory inspections and accreditation activitiesParticipates in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiativesIdentifies and addresses safety concerns, compliance risks, and operational issues in a timely manner.Ensures timely reporting, investigation, and follow-up of incidents, adverse events, employee injuries, patient complaints, and safety concernsOversees medication management processes, including procurement, storage, administration, documentation, accountability, and regulatory compliance.Ensures compliance with policies governing controlled substances and pharmaceutical managementReviews and evaluates the work and productivity of staff.Reports suspected abuse, harassment, workplace violence, and other mandatory reporting events in accordance with policy and regulatory requirementsPerforms other duties assigned by Director of Nursing or MedBridge Director of Clinical Services.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.Current RN (Registered Nurse) licensure in state of California.Current BLS certificate.Current ACLS certificateCurrent PALS certificate.At least 2 years nursing experience.Full command of the English language, both verbal and written.#hp
