Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking an RN Charge Nurse in Charleston to oversee daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care within the operating room. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with the healthcare team, and adherence to MUHA nursing standards.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN or an enrolled Associate/Diploma with a defined BSN timeline, plus at least two years of OR RN experience. Completion of the Charge Nurse Workshop and orientation is required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school is required.
• If you have an Associate/Diploma, must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years.
• Minimum of two years RN experience in an OR designated area is required.
• Attendance in the Charge Nurse Workshop and successful completion of MUHA Charge Nurse Competency-Based Orientation within 6 months of hire.
