Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Established by a group of community physicians in 1999, the center focuses on:

• Streamlining the delivery of patient-centered medical care to ensure high-quality services.
• Making the outpatient surgery experience less anxiety-provoking.

OR Charge Nurse Opportunity

This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient day shift schedule. It involves clinical and supervisory duties, including direct and indirect patient care, disciplinary actions, and staffing decisions. The role requires effective communication with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers, especially regarding patient condition changes and diagnostic results. The nurse must respond promptly and accurately to clinical changes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage staff in the operating rooms, procedure room, and sterile processing areas, including scheduling.
• Maintain clinical skills and provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Assess staff educational needs and coordinate training for new equipment and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current Nevada RN License

• Current ACLS certification (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required or enrollment in an accredited program within one year of employment or transfer into supervisory role
