Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Established by a group of community physicians, the goals of the founding physicians have not changed since they were established in 1999. These goals focus on:

  • Streamlining the delivery of medical care so it is patient-centered to provide the highest quality services.
  • Making the outpatient surgery experience less anxiety producing.
  • Utilizing the most cost-effective measures for the patient and the healthcare delivery system so we can provide safe and affordable quality care.
  • Providing an environment which is aesthetically pleasing for the patient, physician and employee that promotes patient friendliness.
  • Reducing the risk of infection for our patients by always adhering to the most current safety standards in the industry.

OR Charge Nurse Nurse opportunity is full time @ 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. This position performs a dual function, clinical and supervisory. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, performs disciplinary actions, and participates in hiring and termination of staff. communicates with physicians/nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages the staff of the operating rooms, procedure room, and sterile processing areas, and manages the daily schedule of the operating rooms.
  • Maintains clinical skills and knowledge and provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Assess the staff's educational needs and assists in implementing a plan to meet those needs. Coordinates staff education for new equipment and products.

Qualifications

  • Current NV State Registered Nurse License
  • Current BLS
  • Current ACLS (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursingrequired or enrolled in an accredited program within one year ofemployment or transfer into supervisory role.
  • A minimum of 3-years OR experience required.
