Job summary

UCLA Health in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an Operating Room Assistant II to support surgical teams in a world-class health organization. Under direct supervision, you will transport patients, assist with prepping for surgery, and help maintain sterile and stocked operating room suites.

You will work closely with nurses, unit secretaries, and circulating staff to gather supplies, manage storage areas, and perform errands related to patient care, ensuring smooth schedules and safe patient flow

Qualifications

• Experience supporting surgical teams or OR staff is desirable.
• Ability to follow direction from nursing staff and surgeons.
• Excellent bedside manner and patient-care focus.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the operating room.
• Assist nurses and circulators in preparing patients for surgery.
• Clean and maintain operating room suites and stock supplies.
• Gather equipment and maintain storage areas for the OR.
• Perform errands related to patient care as needed.
• Coordinate with Unit Secretary and follow the surgery schedule.
