Job summary

UF Health in St. John's, FL is seeking an OR Assistant to clean and maintain operating rooms and equipment, secure supplies for the OR team, and restock rooms. The role includes patient care tasks such as positioning, transferring, and transporting patients within Perioperative Services.

FTE is 1.0 with hours and days variable. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire; CNA/PCA/MA are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certifications: BLS through the AHA; BLS required within 30 days from hire.
• Experience: Less than 1 year patient care; Preferred 3–5 years in patient care, OR or medical equipment.

Qualifications

• Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Licensure/Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the AHA (American Heart Association). BLS required within 30 days from the date of hire. Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or Medical Assistant (MA)
• Experience Required: Less than one (1) year of patient care (i.e. nursing assistant/surgical tech/MA), Supply chain, Operating Room or relevant medical equipment experience. Preferred: 3-5 years patient care, Supply Chain, OR, or relevant medical equipment experience.
