Job summary

BJC HealthCare, including Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an experienced radiology technologist to join a high-volume imaging department.

The role involves operating C-Arms and O-Arms, using portable X-ray to obtain intraoperative films, and supporting intraoperative imaging in a Magnet Hospital setting. Qualified candidates will hold an Associate degree or higher and RT(R) certification, with preferred C-Arm/OR experience and familiarity with CT, X-ray, and radiology

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in related field.
• RT(R) certification required.
• C-Arm and OR imaging experience preferred.
• Experience with CT, X-ray, and radiology imaging.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs imaging studies independently in OR, on-call, and portable settings.

Position Details

• Day Shift: 4 days per week Tuesday – Friday (9am – 7:30pm)
• No CALL or Weekends!
• Extra Holiday Pay – 3 required holidays each year (1 major and 2 minor)
• 1 year of Operating Room (C-arm) experience (highly preferred)
• Operate C-Arms and O-Arms in the operating room
• Use portable x-ray machines to obtain films for intraops or closures in the operating room
• Occasionally use Radlink in the operating room & assist coverage to Portable x-ray team and/or ED x-ray team when needed
• Advanced Modality Technologists Pay

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R)

Experience

• C-Arm, Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and/or OR experience (preferred)
• Experience in CT, RT, X-ray, Radiology, Medical Imaging, ARRT, BD, CI, N, VI, ASRT, Radiologic, Rad Tech, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (CT, MRI, Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

• Performs studies independently, in on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required by work area.
