Job summary

The State of Georgia, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, seeks an OQRI Auditor, Registered Nurse to conduct on-site reviews and audits of clinical facilities, ensuring compliance with TJC, CMS, and state rules. Remote travel 30-40% statewide.

You will coordinate quality assurance, perform chart reviews, plan mock surveys, and propose program or operational changes based on findings.

Qualifications

• RN license and state licensure to practice nursing.
• Experience in mental health inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Knowledge of Treatment Planning in mental health.
• Familiarity with TJC, CMS accreditation requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Tracer Methodology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site reviews, audits or surveys of clinical facilities and program management.
• Coordinate quality assurance functions, including chart reviews and audits.
• Determine compliance with TJC, CMS and state/federal rules.
• Monitor and maintain records on compliance.
• Plan/evaluate outcome studies and compliance findings.
• Plan mock surveys and investigations to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Recommend programmatic and operational changes based on findings.
• Research DBHDD policies, TJC standards and CMS regulations.
• Perform surveys and audits per established policies and regulations.
• Travel statewide up to 30% within the hospital system.
• Participate in hospital system meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

• Conducts on-site reviews, audits or surveys of clinical and treatment facilities, regulated entity operations and program management for the hospital system
• Coordinates quality assurance functions, including chart reviews and audits
• Determines compliance with applicable TJC, CMS, and state and/or federal rules and regulations
• Monitors, tracks, and maintains records on compliance
• Plans and evaluates outcome studies and/or compliance findings
• Plans, develops, schedules, and implements mock surveys and complaint investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
• Recommends programmatic and/or operational changes based on review, audit, or survey results
• Researches DBHDD Policies, TJC Standards, CMS Regulations and state/federal regulations
• Performs surveys and audits according to established policies and regulations
• Position requires up to 30% travel within state hospital system
• Actively Participate in assigned Hospital System Meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Nurse
• Experience in mental health (inpatient or outpatient care; AMH or Forensics)
• Knowledge of Treatment Planning in mental health
• Knowledge of TJC (HAP, NCC, BHC) accreditation requirements and CMS certification standards
• Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience in conducting Tracer Methodology
• Experience in Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
