CARES is seeking an Overnight Respite Coordinator to facilitate programs in a camp-like setting for youths and adults with developmental disabilities. The role includes 4, 5, or 10-day sessions and requires travel from Manhattan or Brooklyn to Monticello, NY, with supervision of staff and engaging activities.
The site features multiple buildings, an outdoor pool, and daily activities; duties include curriculum development, safety, scheduling, transportation coordination, and documentation.

The Overnight Respite Coordinator position is to facilitate programs in a camp-like setting for children and adults ages 9 and up who have challenges related to their developmental disability. The programs will last either 4,5 or 10 days and are scheduled throughout the year. They also include travel from either Manhattan or Brooklyn to our facility in Monticello, NY. We are looking for an upbeat, enthusiastic coordinator who can lead a staff, create an ongoing list of activities and implement them all while keeping our participants engaged and excited about participating in the program.
The facility has multiple buildings on-site as well as an outdoor pool, sporting equipment, firepit and many local attractions. We schedule 5 activities a day, including local excursions as well as on-site activities.
