Primary Responsibilities

1. Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
2. Explain procedures to patients.
3. Position imaging equipment and determine exposure factors based on patient and procedure requirements.
4. Adjust equipment controls to produce quality images.
5. Practice radiation safety techniques.
6. Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures.
7. Process and review images for quality and proper identification.
8. Prepare images for radiologist or physician review.
9. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• License or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology in New York.
• ARRT certification or willingness to obtain within 180 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Experience with Epic EMR software.
• Orthopedic imaging experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate ranges from $23.70 to $46.35, depending on experience, education, and certifications.
