Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification.
  2. Operate all MRI equipment and related software competently.
  3. Ensure patient and staff safety through education and screening protocols.
  4. Maintain communication with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families.
  5. Perform quality control, setup, and conduct MRI procedures, and assist in department operations.
  6. Review patient data and requisitions to ensure correct setup and medical appropriateness.
  7. Educate patients about procedures to ensure understanding and safety.
  8. Provide coverage as needed, including during call-outs or extended schedules.
  9. Mentor new hires and contribute to team training.
  10. Maintain quality standards and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  11. Assist in accreditation processes such as the American College of Radiology (ACR).
  12. Maintain CPR certification and demonstrate a positive patient experience.
  13. Ensure diagnostic quality of images and perform quality assurance.
  14. Make informed decisions considering various options.
  15. Contribute to efficient outpatient operations and maximize productivity.
  16. Monitor vital signs during examinations.
  17. Use sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
  18. Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate findings.
  19. Promote teamwork and a collaborative work environment.
  20. Meet deadlines, demonstrate accountability, and adapt to changing needs.
  21. Engage in professional development through certifications, CME, and training.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT certification
  • MRI certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency with computerized systems used in the department
Physical Demands:
  • Extended standing and walking
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Correctable eyesight to 20/20
Compensation and Benefits:

For New York residents, the hourly range is $28.03 to $54.95, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions.
