Riverside offers top-tier hours of operation, including 24/7 patient access, same-day, and walk-in appointments. We promote prenatal health through free weekend classes and actively give back to the community via health fairs, charitable initiatives, and free medical education.

As part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our expanding team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm; 1 Saturday per month; 2 late nights, 11 am - 7 pm.

Assist at nearby practices as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
  2. Room patients, obtain health histories, check vital signs, and perform EKGs.
  3. Administer injections and collect specimens.
  4. Document patient care using electronic medical records.
  5. Schedule appointments, handle prior authorizations, process medication refills, manage referrals, answer calls, and complete paperwork.
  6. Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants with minor procedures.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • National Medical Assistant certification.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Flexible schedule to assist at nearby practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing clinical duties such as phlebotomy, injections, vital signs, and medical history recording.
  • Experience with Epic EMR.
  • Spanish speaking ability.

The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $28.85, based on full-time employment, local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications.
