VisionFirst Eye Care is seeking an Optometric Technician to join ouremployee-owned practice, offering training for a highly motivated, detail‑oriented candidate who is eager to learn in a healthcare setting.

You will assist during patient visits by obtaining history, chief complaint, medications and allergies, conduct diagnostic tests, record vision measurements, schedule appointments, and perform general front desk and clerical duties with a focus on excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Familiar with computers and office equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to multi-task and adapt to change.
• Eager to learn new skills.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a healthcare environment is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients before eye exams by obtaining history, chief complaint, medications, and allergies.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and record measurements of vision.
• Schedule appointments and manage front desk duties.
• Obtain pre-authorization where required.
• Perform other general clinical and clerical office duties.
