Job summary

VisionFirst is an employee-owned optometry practice in Central Kentucky. We are seeking an Optometric Technician to assist patients during eye exams, handle front-desk duties, and support diagnostic testing. Training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn.

Ideal candidates bring excellent customer service, basic computer skills, and attention to detail. Healthcare experience is a plus, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered, including PTO, ESOP, 401k, and health

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills.
Familiar with computers and office equipment.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to multi-task and be adaptable to change.
Eager to learn new skills.
Experience as a Medical Assistant or similar healthcare role is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist patients and provide excellent care and customer service during visits.
Prepare patients for exams by obtaining history, chief complaint, medications and allergies.
Conduct diagnostic tests and record/measure vision.
Schedule appointments and perform front-desk duties.
Obtain pre-authorization and perform other general clinical/clerical duties.
