Katmai seeks an Optometry Technician to support ophthalmologists in a clinical setting. You will gather histories, verify prescriptions, and maintain patient records while assisting during vision tests and eye exams.
Responsibilities include administering eye drops, measuring intraocular pressure, testing visual fields, and instructing patients on eye care and contact lens handling. A valid BLS certificate and relevant training are required.
Provide a wide variety of duties to assist the optometrist/ophthalmologist as appropriate to the level of certification (i.e., COA, COT, or COMT).

Work is performed primarily in a clinical eye care or medical office setting. Employee works with patients, ophthalmic equipment, and medical supplies and frequently interacts with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare personnel.
Position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and use of hands for operating ophthalmic equipment and assisting with patient care. Requires close visual attention, manual dexterity, and the ability to assist with patient positioning and routine clinical procedures.
