Job summary

Bridgeview Eye Partners is seeking a Scribe to support doctors by accurately transcribing data into the patient medical record during exams. The role also involves assisting technicians, obtaining histories, scheduling patients, and preparing exam rooms.

The successful candidate will enter data into the EHR in real time, support eye examinations, coordinate patient flow, and help maintain a clean, organized environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in optometry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into EHR during exams as dictated by the doctor.
• Assist optometrist/ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Escort patients to Optical and introduce to the Optician, reiterating recommendations.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow; communicate delays.
• Prepare exam room; maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a clean, safe, inviting environment for patients and staff.
