Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a locum optometrist for a 3- to 6-month initial contract with the possibility to extend. You will perform routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and handle urgent and emergency eye care for patients aged 4 and up, with frequent dilation and no surgeries.

The role includes full support staff and uses Health Connect EMR. This is a 1099 contract offering medical malpractice insurance but no additional employee benefits.

Job description

• 3-6-month initial contract, with options to extend
• Types of patients/procedures: routine eye exams, contact lens fitting, eye urgencies and emergencies, medical optometry, ages 4 and up. Frequent dilation of patients. No surgeries. Census up to 18 per day.
• Full support staff including admin
• EMR: Health Connect (Kaiser’s version of Epic)
