77 consultants seeks a Medical Optometry Physician for an outpatient setting in Fresno. The role is an immediate-start, 3-month engagement with a strong potential for extension.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with a patient load around 18 per day. Responsibilities include routine exams, contact lens fittings, dilation for ages 4+, and management of red eye and ocular emergencies.

Qualifications

• Board-certified optometry physician with active California license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct routine eye examinations for patients aged 4 and up.
• Perform contact lens fittings and assess fit and comfort.
• Manage eye urgencies and emergencies in outpatient setting.
• Provide comprehensive medical optometry care and counseling.
• Address red eye conditions and other ocular complaints.
• Note: Surgical procedures are not part of this role.

Position Overview: Medical Optometry Physician

• Contract Length: Immediate start, 3-month engagement with a strong potential for extension.
• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic environment.
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
• Clinical Duties:
  • Conduct routine eye examinations.
  • Perform contact lens fittings.
  • Manage eye urgencies and emergencies.
  • Provide comprehensive medical optometry care.
  • Address red eye conditions.
  • Patient demographics include ages 4 and above, necessitating frequent dilation.
  • Note: Surgical procedures are not part of this role. Experience with specialty contact lenses is preferred but not mandatory.
• Call Requirements: No on-call duties are expected.
• Patient Load: Anticipated caseload of approximately 18 scheduled patients per day.
• Team Structure: Supported by a full complement of administrative and clinical staff.
• Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC.
• Required Certifications: Board Certification, current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Licensure: Active California state license is mandatory.
