We seek candidates with a doctoral degree in optometry or a related field and a minimum of three years of clinical experience or residency, plus a commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in optometry or related field from an accredited optometry school.
• Minimum of three years clinical optometry experience or completion of an optometric residency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and inspire students.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction in optometry courses, including lectures, labs, and clinical supervision.
• Develop and maintain a research program contributing to optometric science and practice.
• Engage in service activities within the School of Optometry, the university and the professional community.
• Advise and mentor optometry students in academic, research and clinical capacities.
• Collaborate with faculty across departments to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
