Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care for patients, diagnose and treat vision-related symptoms, and guide staff in patient treatment. This is a part-time opportunity for Saturdays and/or PRN. Pay range: $500-$650/day.

The role involves examining patients, diagnosing diseases, and delivering comprehensive vision treatment plans while supporting staff and coordinating referrals to specialists as needed.

Qualifications

• State optometry license in good standing.
• Strong interest in working with children.
• Ability to acquire or maintain Medicaid Provider number and NPI number.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality eye care by diagnosing, treating, and managing patient vision health.
• Examine patients, diagnose eye diseases, and perform necessary procedures.

Adventure Dental, Vision and Orthodontics in Santa Fe, NM, is currently seeking an Optometrist to provide preventive and restorative eye care for all patients, diagnosing and treating vision-related symptoms, as well as instructing staff on how to assist in patient treatment.

This is a part-time opportunity for Saturdays and/or PRN.

Pay range: $500-$650/day

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and service by responding promptly to patient, caregiver, and team needs
• Examine patients, diagnose diseases, and effectively treat and perform all necessary procedures
• Provide comprehensive professional vision treatment plans to help them achieve optimal vision health, using accepted clinical and diagnostic techniques
• Build a community within the practice that fosters teammate satisfaction and retention by developing strategies to achieve organizational goals, being available to staff, accepting feedback from others, developing subordinates’ skills, and encouraging growth
• Arrange for referral to vision specialists when appropriate
• Prepare a doctor case file including medical history, informing patients on general care and health of eyes at regular time intervals, and staying informed on the latest vision treatment techniques
