The position requires a Doctoral degree in optometry, California licensure, and a minimum of 5 years of experience. This is a 50% appointment based at UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute in Brea, CA.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of optometry and skills essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to this position.
• Thorough knowledge of eye diseases diagnosis.
• Must be able to effectively communicate findings of examination to patients.
• Requires strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eye and related structures.
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and screening assessments.
• Prescribe appropriate treatment to preserve or restore vision.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and educate patients about diagnoses and management.
