Job summary

Veo Vision Center in Orange, CT is hiring a full-time Optometrist to accurately diagnose and manage ocular conditions. You will perform comprehensive eye exams and co-manage glaucoma and other issues, while prescribing lenses and treatment plans tailored to each patient.

We seek a communicator with an OD license, skilled in patient education, documentation, and collaboration with staff, with a focus on long-term vision wellness in a private practice setting.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, unrestricted Connecticut optometry license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Clinical expertise in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fitting, and management of common ocular conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye, and refractive error.
• Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care in clear, accessible language.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, optical staff, and other healthcare professionals in a team-based clinical setting.
• Comfort with EHR documentation, clinical charting, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards of care.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, with a focus on building long-term relationships and promoting vision wellness.
• Willingness to stay current with advances in optometry, diagnostic technologies, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Experience in a private practice or medical optometry setting is preferred; residency or additional training in medical or specialty optometry is a plus.

Responsibilities
