General Function

The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise, experience, and key results through collaboration and teamwork. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing clinical protocols while maximizing results and practicing growth through strong partnerships with the MOD, SMM, and team. The Associate Optometrist also serves as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to go above and beyond.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Ensure executional excellence and achieve results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
  2. Demonstrate commitment to exceeding results through KPI management and accountability.
  3. Promote the brand as the leading optical provider in the community.
  4. Collaborate effectively with organizational leaders and local market stakeholders.
  5. Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
  6. Strive to exceed all KPIs.
  7. Provide unsurpassed patient service by addressing visual lifestyle needs, making eyewear recommendations, explaining eye exams, and utilizing visual aids to ensure understanding.
  8. Conduct services according to protocols and standards of care.
  9. Ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
  10. Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
  11. Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.
  12. Maintain office systems and state licensure, and fulfill continuing education requirements.
  13. Train and guide team members using company programs.
  14. Provide timely, motivating, and constructive feedback to staff.
  15. Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values, motivating individuals appropriately.
  16. Encourage decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
  17. Engage in leadership, participation, and involvement to maximize partnerships.
  18. Maintain a professional and welcoming office appearance.
  19. Ensure a safe working environment for all.
  20. Lead by example.
Basic Qualifications
  1. Doctor of Optometry degree.
  2. Commitment to quality patient care.
  3. Knowledge of current optometric theories and technology.
  4. Strong communication and listening skills.
  5. Problem-solving abilities.
  6. Solid organizational skills.
