Position Overview: The Optometrist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular diseases. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient-centered care and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients from varied backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
  • Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, and therapies as needed.
  • Educate patients on eye health, preventative care, and proper use of eyewear.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
  • Stay current with advancements in optometry and healthcare practices.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure to practice optometry.
  • Experience in a community health or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing quality care to underserved populations.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages) are a plus.
  • License: Optometry license

  • Flexible Schedule with 3 or 4 day work week option, no weekends or on-call
