General Function

The Associate Optometrist leads in delivering the brand promise, experience, and key results through collaboration and teamwork. Ensures all patients receive high-quality optometric care by following clinical protocols, maximizing results, and fostering growth through strong partnerships with the MOD, SMM, and team. Serves as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to go above and beyond.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ensure executional excellence and achieve results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
2. Exceed results through strong KPI management and accountability.
3. Promote the brand as the leading optical provider in the community.
4. Collaborate effectively with all organizational leaders and local market stakeholders.
5. Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
6. Strive to exceed all KPIs.
7. Provide unsurpassed patient service by addressing visual lifestyle needs, making eyewear recommendations, explaining eye exams, and ensuring patient understanding using available tools and visual aids.
8. Encourage patients to schedule annual eye exams and ensure appointments are made.
9. Conduct services according to protocols and accepted standards of care.
10. Provide accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
11. Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
12. Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.
13. Maintain office systems and state licensure, fulfilling continuing education requirements.
14. Train and guide team members using company programs.
15. Deliver timely, motivating, and constructive feedback to staff.
16. Foster a positive culture aligned with corporate values, motivating individuals appropriately.
17. Encourage decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
18. Enhance partnerships through leadership and involvement.
19. Maintain a professional office appearance and a safe working environment.

Basic Qualifications

1. Doctor of Optometry degree.
2. Commitment to quality patient care.
3. Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
4. Strong communication and listening skills.

6. Solid organizational skills.
