Job summary

The Indian Health Service seeks a licensed optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care across outpatient and inpatient settings, diagnosing and treating diseases of the visual system and ocular disorders, and delivering emergency eye care as needed.

You will perform full-scope examinations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely, high-quality patient care. US citizenship required; NBEO exams and licensure required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry required with active licensure in the U.S.
• Complete NBEO examinations and maintain full unrestricted license.
• Evidence of education and licensure as required by federal standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of optometric duties: exam, diagnose, treat diseases of the visual system and ocular structures.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye diseases and disorders.
• Provide comprehensive primary eye care including examination, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Provide emergency ocular care in outpatient and inpatient settings.
