Job summary

Eyes On Eyecare in Bristol, VA is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our full-scope private practice. You’ll provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular disease, and fit specialty contact lenses in a patient-centered, no-pressure environment.

We emphasize thorough explanations and a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends, and opportunities to work at our Wise location as needed. Virginia license or eligibility is required.

This is a full-scope general optometry position where you'll have the opportunity to provide comprehensive care for patients. The practice sees a wide variety of primary care and medical eye conditions, allowing you to utilize the full extent of your optometric training.

You'll provide comprehensive eye exams, manage ocular disease, treat dry eye, fit specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, and provide other services within your scope of practice. You'll also educate patients about their treatment options and make appropriate recommendations when additional products or services may benefit their eye health. There are no direct sales responsibilities.

We believe in maintaining a strong work-life balance with a consistent Monday-Fri schedule and no weekends required.

Bristol

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM

We have a office in Wise, VA. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working at both locations, with the possibility of rotating to the alternate location one day per week. However, there is flexibility for a clinician who prefers to work exclusively at the Bristol or Wise location so it is NOT a requirement to work at both locations.

Bristol typically allows approximately 30 minutes per comprehensive exam, with occasional quick follow up visits.
