Job summary

MRG Exams is seeking an Optometrist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA disability process. This is a non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments, with a Monday–Friday 8a–4p schedule and an in-person at Arlington, VA.

You will review electronic medical records, conduct comprehensive eye exams including Visual Field Testing, document findings, and complete VA forms. No prescribing or treatment is involved; you support VA determinations.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Optometry license.
• Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Experience reviewing medical records via web portals.
• Strong time management to meet deadlines.

Join MRG Exams to conduct comprehensive eye exams for U.S. Veterans. This is a rewarding non-treating, non-determination role focused solely on assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
• Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
• Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
• Accurately document exam findings and complete the required VA forms.
• Note: This role does not involve treatment or prescribing medication. Disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.
• Caseload: 4-6 Veterans per day on average.
• Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary tools for documentation.
