Job summary

Acuity Eyecare Group in O’Fallon, Missouri, is seeking a licensed optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye examinations and support practice growth by building patient relationships and education on eyecare.

You will perform vision tests, diagnose refractive errors and eye diseases, and prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications, while providing pre- and postoperative care. A Doctorate of Optometry and state certification are required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from an accredited program.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.
• Current license to practice in Missouri.
• Commitment to patient care and eyecare education.

Responsibilities

• Establish long-term patient relationships through proper care and education
• Conduct eye exams and vision tests
• Diagnose sight problems and eye diseases
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contacts, and medications
• Provide pre- and postoperative care after eye surgery
• Promote eye health and counsel patients on lens care
• Communicate recommendations clearly to staff and sales teams
