General Function

The Associate Optometrist leads in delivering high-quality optometric care, collaborating with store management and team members to achieve organizational results. They serve as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to exceed expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Ensure executional excellence and positive results in partnership with the Store Manager and team.
  2. Exceed results with strong KPI management and accountability.
  3. Promote the brand as a leading optical provider in the community.
  4. Collaborate effectively with organizational leaders and local market stakeholders.
  5. Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
  6. Strive to exceed all KPIs.
  7. Provide unsurpassed patient service by addressing visual lifestyle needs, making recommendations, explaining procedures, and ensuring understanding.
  8. Ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
  9. Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
  10. Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.
  11. Maintain office systems and state licensure, including continuing education.
  12. Train and guide team members using company programs.
  13. Provide timely, motivating, and constructive feedback to staff.
  14. Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values.
  15. Encourage decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
  16. Lead through participation and involvement.
  17. Maintain a professional office appearance and safe working environment.
  18. Lead by example.
Basic Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry degree
  • Commitment to quality patient care
  • Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology
  • Strong communication and listening skills
