Job summary

The MedServ Group is seeking an Optometrist to join our team for part-time coverage. You will provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose ocular conditions, and prescribe lenses or eye meds as needed, with pre- and post-operative care when required.

Work schedule typically Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexible options. Expect 7–8 hour days and 22–25 patients per visit; compensation options include per-patient pay or a percentage of collections.

Qualifications

• OD degree and active state license required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Optometrist Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye exams.
• Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.
• Providing pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients.

Optometrist Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active state license.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

General Information

• 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday (typically 9:00AM-5:00PM). Flexible schedules also available.
